Our History

In 2017, Salwan Public School embarked on a new journey with the inaugural edition of SAMUN, spearheaded by a dedicated group of talented students and teachers. This pioneering effort not only brought pride to the school but also marked , the beginning of a new era of debates at Salwan. Initially, it was this branch that led the way, teaching other branches about the MUN process.

As newcomers, we faced numerous challenges, but the unwavering dedication of our students made it possible to host this conference annually. Our significant achievement came in 2019, when we clinched the school trophy three times in a row and successfully engaged over 200 students for two days.

In the past two years, despite the challenges of the pandemic, we transitioned to an online format and hosted 150 students, even as many institutions struggled to attract 100 delegates. This success was made possible through the invaluable support and guidance of our former organizing committee members.

Currently, due to limited exposure, many students are unfamiliar with the basics of MUN, and it has become challenging to guide them without subsequent mock sessions and access to well-trained professionals.

As we look forward, we are committed to bridging this gap and continuing our tradition of excellence in MUN.
